The 11th day…Christmas Eve!

Friday, December 25th, 2009

Although the day has gone by quite quickly for me and hubby, it was the longest day in history for my kiddos!  By now, it’s almost midnight, all the gifts are wrapped and I’m off to bed.  But before I do, a little goodie for you!

I used Mari’s Snow Much Fun for one last project.  I created a printable paper for the kids to write their letters to Santa!

On the 9th day of the blog flip flop…

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

First, I can’t believe Christmas is in 3 days.  Second, I braved the crazy people today and finished…everything…completely done.  {{angels singing}}

Now to wrap all my gifts!  It’s been pretty easy with Mari’s gift card holders and the candy bar boxes.  Today, for the 9th day of the Blog Flip Flop with Mari, I’m using Mari’s CD cover.  Wouldn’t it be a nice, easy gift to give a CD of the year’s pictures to a loved one?  This template makes it so easy.  And I used Snow Much Fun again, because it’s just the perfect winter kit!

Sorry for the quick post, but I’ve had a sick little girl at my house…and on her birthday, too!  She has a great birthday story…I posted about it last year.

Day 7…a different take on the gift card holder

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Well…are you having fun with this blog flip flop?  I hope so, ’cause Mari and I sure are!  Doesn’t take much, apparently, to thrill us!  Today I did a different take on a gift card holder.

It seems this year that I am gifting a lot of gift cards.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the gift card…let them choose what they really want.  I just sometimes have a hard time presenting the gift card.  I still want it to look like a package, you know?  Then I saw this cute little holder.  (I couldn’t find it to save my life…if I find it or you know who originally did this, please leave a comment or email me and I’ll edit this post!)  Made with basic shapes and easy to assembly, this bracket card holder is elegantly simple and stands on it’s own.  I used Mari’s kit again…I know, I’m completely obsessed with it!  I punched a hole in the top and tied some cute coordinating ribbon.  This one’s going to Aunt Sarah!

Day 3…back to me…and a FREEBIE!

Day 3…

Today I left another little treat in my kids’ teachers’ mailboxes.  We (ahem, I) made some dipped pretzels.  If you’ve never dipped pretzel, I highly recommend it.  It’s quick, easy, inexpensive, and the kids can help.  This time I dipped them in chocolate, but most times we dip them in the candy melts you can find at the craft store.  I sprinkled the pretzel (while they were still wet) with some peppermint crunch I found in the baking section at the craft store.  They were dry and ready within the hour.  I put them in little bags and stapled on these cute treat topper.  Once again, Mari’s kit, Snow Much Fun, is just too cute.  It comes out tomorrow, so go and snag it in the morning at The Digi Chick!

Sorry this picture is not the best.  Thank goodness for camera phones…I almost forgot to take a picture at all!  I printed the treat topper, scored on the line and punched the edge with a scalloped edge punch.  I’m all about quick, simple, and easy.  Just a little something that shows you care but doesn’t break the bank.

You want one?  You got it!  I’ve made the treat topper into a pdf download.  All you need is Adobe Acrobat (it’s free and you probably already have it) to open the file and print.  You can download the FREEBIE here.

How about a little Blog Hop?

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

I’m teaming up my friend, Mari, to bring you a little holiday inspiration.  It’s the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Flip Flop!

She has an awesome new kit coming out on Thursday called Snow Much Fun…and it truly is!  We will blog hop back and forth each day, for 12 days, bringing you great gift ideas that are quick, easy, and inexpensive.  Make sure you check every day!

I started this week off right for my kiddos’ teachers.  I went this morning and left this little treat in their teacher mailbox…

I used my Candy Bar Box and, of course, Mari’s kit.  Each one of those boxes holds a Hershey’s Chocolate Bar…I mean, how can you go wrong with good ol’ chocolate?  This little project took all of 20 minutes, but they look like I worked on them for hours!  A little birdie told me that they really liked them.  I don’t think you can ever have too much teacher appreciation!

Be sure to check out Mari’s blog tomorrow for another great project!  You never know when there might be a freebie… :)
