12 Days Blog Flip Flop…Day 5

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

Ok, so my day didn’t go quite as planned…but it’s still Friday somewhere, so I’m posting Day 5!  I have to say, so far I’d say Mari and I are showcasing some pretty cute stuff!  And, don’t forget, Mari’s kit  has been released and you can get it now!

I love little gifts.   And, I don’t know why, but especially ones that have food/candy attached to them!  My hubby thinks I’m too ‘cutesy’ and maybe the kids’ teachers are getting tired of superflous little trinkets, but I can’t help it.  For today, I made Christmas tree boxes filled with chocolate kisses.

I printed a solid green from Snow Much Fun on a 8.5×11 sheet of presentation paper.  Then I ran that paper through my Cricut.  **side note about my Cricut…as I’m really starting to play with it, I am falling more and more in love with it!**

I used the Bags, Tags, and More Cricut catridge.  The machine did all the work.  It even cut out a little window.  I covered the window from the inside using a transparency and a little tape.  I scored, folded, tucked, and filled.  Then I wrapped them with curling ribbon for some flair and to keep them from coming open.  Voila!  Insta-Cute!

Don’t forget to keep following our 12 Days Blog Flip Flop!  Tomorrow is Day 6 with Mari…and you know it’s gonna be cute!

How about a little Blog Hop?

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

I’m teaming up my friend, Mari, to bring you a little holiday inspiration.  It’s the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Flip Flop!

She has an awesome new kit coming out on Thursday called Snow Much Fun…and it truly is!  We will blog hop back and forth each day, for 12 days, bringing you great gift ideas that are quick, easy, and inexpensive.  Make sure you check every day!

I started this week off right for my kiddos’ teachers.  I went this morning and left this little treat in their teacher mailbox…

I used my Candy Bar Box and, of course, Mari’s kit.  Each one of those boxes holds a Hershey’s Chocolate Bar…I mean, how can you go wrong with good ol’ chocolate?  This little project took all of 20 minutes, but they look like I worked on them for hours!  A little birdie told me that they really liked them.  I don’t think you can ever have too much teacher appreciation!

Be sure to check out Mari’s blog tomorrow for another great project!  You never know when there might be a freebie… :)

A new hybrid with Happiness!

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

I am priviledged to be on Mari Koegelenberg’s hybrid team!  Woo hoo!  I have always loved Mari’s work, and, a little known fact…Mari gave me my very first start in the digi world.  I owe her big!

Her newest kit is Happiness and it is just that!  I made these charts for my fridge.  I had them printed in the 12×12 size.  I’m gonna laminate them and hang them with a dry erase marker on the side of my fridge.  What a life saver!

This is a set 76 color-coded, printable, 3×3 cards.  Included are a full set of uppercase and lowercase letters, 18 animals, and 6 animal sounds.  *note…not all letters have matching animals, not all animals have matching sounds.  There are so many ways to play…

*match uppercase to lowercase letters

*match animal to its beginning letter

*match animal to animal sound

*print two sets of letters or animals and play a memory game

*use them for letter recognition, like Robin from my team did here…

Big Debut…

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

It's been kinda quiet around here, I know…creepy quiet…like I'm waiting for something…IT"S HERE!

I joined forces with The Digi Chick.  The site is under new management…Nicole Seitler aka Sugarplum Paperie.   It's a great digital scrapbooking community and I'm truly thrilled to be over there.  All of our projects will now be available through this great resource.  If you haven't registered over at TDC, go now!

And for the debut, we have a new project!  It's the add-on pack for the (very popular, thank you!) ABC book…the 123 book.  Each number 1 through 10 has a two-page spread.  The first to practice writing the number and drawing a picture to represent the number.  The second has a cute little poem to help remember how to draw the number…'Line straight down, then we're done.  That's the way to make a one!"  Cute, huh?

and something else I'm really excited about is the new digital photo album I have up in the store

I'm really loving my new iPhone!  And I love customizing my backgrounds and photos on it!  I made this little brag book exclusively for the iPhone and the iPod Touch.  These little quick pages are ready for your photo.  Simply drop in your photo, save as a jpeg, and email them to yourself on the phone or sync your iPod Touch!  Awesome, right?

The ABC book!

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

Ready for an awesome new project?  These ABC pages fit inside plastic badge holders and, when bound together, become the perfect size for little hands to practice their ABCs and some sight words, too!  Simply supply your little learner with some write on/wipe off crayons (we found ours at Office Depot) or some wipe off markers and let them go!  Here's a great hint, courtesy of my preschool teacher friend, Natasha…put an old glove on their other hand and let them wipe off the crayon with the glove.  Great little project that will easily fit in your purse or the car…think…quiet doctor's office, in the car, grocery store, church!  I can almost guarantee an hour of quiet from that little one!  One of our team member, Holly, does a great job blogging about putting together the project, so check out her post, too!

Here are some pics from our new team!
